What is it?
Microneedling impliments the use of a medical grade device that operates on a high RPM, allowing for less pain or the chance of damaging the skin due to drag.
The disposable head is comprised of 16, optimally spaced, implant grade titanium needles that quickly and smoothly penetrate the epidermis. The depths of the needles are adjusted during treatment to meet the differing depths of ones face or area being treated. A numbing cream is applied to make the procedure relatively painless. Acupuncture points on the body are used as part of this treatment so you will have 20 min of relaxation while the numbing cream activates. |
How does it work?
Microneedling significantly increases the production of collagen and elastin.
These treatments are performed 1x per month for 4-6 months. Results last up to 5 years! I personally like annual or biannual treatments after the initial monthly treatments. I find it gives my skin a boost. Microneedling reduces wrinkles, fine lines, crow's feet, and acne scars. It improves skin laxity, shrinks enlarged pores, fades dark spots and melasma, diminishes stretch marks and can be utilized for hair restoration of the eyebrows and scalp. Areas that can be treated are the face, scalp, neck, chest, arms, hands, thighs and stomach. There is no "down time", but do expect to have redness and possible peeling for a few days. |
